A Sweet Family - White Rock Children’s Photographer

I was lucky enough to meet this great family at Becky & Kaiser’s wedding in May.   I remembered them right away because of cute baby R who I couldn’t stop taking photos of at the wedding.  I was so excited when they called me for a session.  We decided to do some photos at their new home in White Rock and to head to the beach in the evening.  Unfortunately by the time we made it to the beach the sun had set behind the clouds but the light was AMAZING and the pier made me feel like we were in California.  Thanks W Family for such a great session.

LOCKING FAMILY - Vancouver Family Portrait Photographer

I’m happy to say that one of my great friends, her husband and their band of beautiful girls have moved back to North Van after living in the land of Calgary.  I don’t have many words today, other than I’m glad they’re here, they’re all beautiful and I feel so lucky to be able to watch such a great family.  Seriously, these girls are all absolutely gorgeous.

The Palsenbarg Family - North Vancouver Portrait Photographer

A beautiful family, 3 generations, gorgeous summer sun, the ocean, the colours - this was a great shoot! One of the things I love so much and that makes me keep doing what I’m doing is to see the wonderful realationships and connections people have.  I think great portraits are so important to ensure that you will always have the memories as well as wonderful photos of and with the people who are truly special to you.  The Palsenbarg family are absolutely wonderful and I can tell very close and special to each other.  It was such a pleasure to just be able to capture photos of them all together enjoying each other’s company and the amazing summer night.  Thanks for such an awesome night guys and enjoy these few highlights.

Stephanie & Jody Are Married - Vancouver Island Wedding

Stephanie is an amazing woman and I’ve been lucky enough to know her for a very long time, even before I was lucky enough to be a part of her family.  She is my husband’s cousin and when she phoned to tell us she was getting married we were so excited - and when she asked to have me be her photographer I was jumping for joy.  Stephanie and her mother have AMAZING taste and I knew her wedding would be nothing short of beautiful and classy - and it definitely was.  The colour palette was beautiful and serene and steph was S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G!!! I took a lot of shots of her amazingness, she was just glowing.  Her and Jody are super duper amazingly fantastically cute together and doing their portraits was wonderful!!! We had some time to take photos in Victoria in the inner harbour and at the parliament buildings where the light was spectacular.  They were celebrities as we walked around downtown Victoria - even a class of young girls stood hand in hand as they awed and ooooooeed as Steph walked by.  It was a great afternoon and then we headed back over the mountains to Duncan for the ceremony and reception.  Thank you Steph and Jody for having me a part of your wonderful day. I hope you enjoy your photos.

Baby Owen

A few weeks ago we were on the island for a family wedding (wonderful post to come soon - I promise) as well as visit family, family and more family.  It was a great weekend for hanging out and we were lucky enough to hang out with the Smith family (my husbands cousins) and get to know Baby Owen better.  This little guy is super duper cute with amazing blue eyes and the cutest little smile ever.  Enjoy some of the photos from our visit.

Here is Baby Owen with Mom and Grandma Maria

Someone was having a little trouble with all the attention - but mom makes things better

See I told you mom makes him feel better

Here’s what I mean about those amazing blue eyes

That Crazy Sunday…

A while back (somewhere around 2 weeks ago) there was one crazy Sunday.  Some of you may remember it as the day that started off amazingly beautiful with the sun in the sky and then somehow turned into a freak snow storm.  Yup, that Sunday.  So, on that wonderful day Scott and I visited his niece and nephew for some fun.  Of course I couldn’t resist bringing my camera - and it turned out to be a great great thing.  We had fun playing outside with the bubbles and then later on in the snow.  In any case, I said I’d post a few more faves so here they are.

We arrived to the kiddos already playing outside and Amelia was well into her bubble mix :)

I love this shot - so cute! Eyes closed, little teeth, her curls, just everything - LOVE IT!!!

And Once AGAIN, Jack and his AMAZING eyes - can anyone say “Lady Killer!”

I can’t remember what Amelia was giggling about but I think she looks pretty darn cute

And I cannot say enough about how much I love this next series of Amelia - the colours, her expression - they make my heart smile

Sneak Peek!

Just a quick look - a few favs from Sunday ( L-O-V-E the colours )- more gems to come!

A Wonderful Morning at Deer Lake

So, I’ll admit, scheduling a family session for outside on a Februrary morning isn’t my most ideal idea for a family session- a bit risky for Vancouver - but I thoroughly understood the importance of this session to Laurie and her family.  Laurie called me looking for some photos to document not only her father’s 65th birthday, but also the fact that her brother and sister would be in town making it the first time they’d all been together in 5 years.   This is what I love about my job - being able to provide people with memories of such an important time.

We had a small window when it came to scheduling this session so I was definately hoping and praying that we wouldn’t be forced inside by the rains.  When it snowed this week I was really praying and so I was so excited to see that this morning turned out wonderfully.  We headed over to Deer lake Park for some photos by the Shadbolt centre and the lake - what a wonderful place to be.  Thank you so much Goodine family for the lovely morning - it was so wonderful to meet you all and I hope you are enjoying your celebrations.  Here are just a few fav’sfrom the morning along with your sneak peek slideshow.  Travel safe everyone :)

Little Micah Nuttall

This past Sunday I had the ABSOLUTE pleasure of meeting the Nuttall family and their newest addition Micah.  This little guy just melts my heart and he is soooooooo so so so loved!  It was wonderful to meet both Trevor and Jen as it felt like I’d known them for a long time, what great great people.  It was beautiful to watch the connection between them all and the bonds that are there.  There is so much I could say but really the photos sum it up so well.  There are A LOT of beautiful shots from their session but I have chosen just a few to highlight here - enjoy!

This photo to me is the most beautiful and one of my new favourties - brings a tear to my eye.  Can’t you just feel the love - ” Hi Mom!”

And of course a colour shot!  Hello little guy!
