Happy Anniversarry to Yuri and Keith!!!
Since we’re full swing into the 2012 season and are majorly behind on blogging our 2011 season, I figured it was about time to get back to blogging and share their fabulous wedding.
Yuri + Keith’s wedding was full of amazing amounts of love and joy and was such a pleasure to be a part of. The day was supposed to be rainy but the weather gods smiled on Yuri and Keith and the sun broke through right as Yuri came walking down the aisle at Mayfair Lakes Golf Club. The stormy clouds made for a beautiful backdrop too - quite dramatic. And the sunshine really made all the colours pop at their photo session at the Britannia Shipyards in Steveston. The reception was full of tons of laughter as well as many touching and emotional moments. In order to get the bride and groom to kiss you either had to hula hoop or sink a putt. And for entertainment, Yuri and Keith surprised guests with an amazing performance by a Concertmaster Emeritus (violinist) of Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and his wife (also a professional viola player) to perform a string-duo number during the ceremony and reception. Yuri’s mother is also an opera singer and did a special surprise performance that brought tears to many eyes (and led to one of my favourite all time mother-daughter moments). The games alone were some of the funniest moments we’ve ever experienced at a wedding. Scott and I were laughing so hard it became difficult to take photos at times.
