It’s weddings like this, and people like these two that really really REALLY make me lllllloooooooovvvveeee my job. Tanya and Ryan are just perfect - they are just the nicest and funniest, genuine and absolutely gorgeous people! We love them and their day was beyond expectation. It was full of style (lots of style - loved it), glamour, love, laughter and sweetness. We started this wonderful day at the Fairmont Pacific Rim where Scott and I decided we were going to live for the rest of our lives. You know that when you walk into a room and see a gorgeous gown and some turquoise Manolo Blahnik’s you know it’s going to be a good day. Tanya looked absolutely SSSTTTTTUUUUUNNNNIIIINNNNNNGGGG! I could photograph her absolutely every day (you up for it Tanya
). We had a lovely time hanging out by the pool for her portraits and as she walked down the staircase into the lobby of the hotel you could hear the gasps. Loved it! Their ceremony at Cecile Green was full of joy and so were all their guests. We headed down to gastown for some photo time where we had the surprise of a lifetime (you’ll find him at the end of the post) :) Then it was off to their reception where the love and celebration continued into their tea ceremony and speeches. Seriously I was near tears from laughing so hard when one of Ryan’s groomsmen gave his speech (you can see their reactions in one of my favourite series ever). So, I’ve rambled long enough, enjoy just a few of my favs from this wonderful couples beautiful day. Sincerely, Thank you Tanya and Ryan for having us be a part of your day - we had such a wonderful time with you both. ENJOY!!!
Okay, so there was a little surprise while we were in gastown for photos. As we were finishing photos I saw Tanya running as fast as she could in her heels and her dress back towards me. At first I panicked as I thought something was wrong. Turns out Ryan spotted Ryan Reynolds and Tanya wanted a photo. So what does a wedding photographer do when your bride wants a shot with a super hot celebrity? You run after him! :) Seriously I will NEVER be a paparazzi! I Just would not be able to handle running after someone like that ( I had to run quite fast with all my gear to catch him, the man walks fast!). Luckily, he believed that I wasn’t a paparazzi and after he saw Tanya running after me as fast as she could agreed to take a photo. He was beyond nice and it was such a fun highlight of their wedding day. Thanks Ryan!
