Just a note to say we’ll be out of town until July 30th and then back for some amazing weddings over the long weekend. We won’t be checking emails while we’re gone so bear with us when we get back. Have a great last week of July everyone ( Oh My, I can’t believe I just typed that).
This wedding was FULL FULL FULL of love, laughter, joy, tears, beauty, friendship, family, love, love and more love. Aubrey and Edward are two people who really are just meant to be together. The way they light up together and love each other is just amazing to be around. Their wedding was gorgeous and not just because of all the amazing details (lovingly put together with the help of the beautiful Samantha at Dreamgroup and the always amazing Denise at Halfyard Designs) but just because you could feel the joy and celebration throughout the day. EVERYONE at their wedding was sooooo excited and happy for them. Their reception at the Sutton place was just Ah-mazing! The food was Deeeeee-licous, the details sparkled and Aubrey + Edwards first dance was one of the best, complete with a lift to rival the one from Dirty Dancing. I can still hear everyone applauding and cheering at that moment. Here are just a few, and I really do mean just a few, of my favs from this amazing day. One of my favourite things about photographing weddings is being able to see such wonderful families celebrate the love of their children/siblings/cousins/grandchildren… ie. the bride and groom get married and the joining of their families. That is EXACTLY what Saturday’s wedding of Carmen to Joseph was. The two of them are soooooooo in love (and adorable together) but you could really feel the joy that surrounded them in all their family and friends. It was so wonderful to be a part of.
The weather was a bit uncertain for the day but the whole wedding party rocked it out whether it was sunny or overcast (mostly overcast though ). And Carmen and Joseph carved out A LOT of time (my favourite YEAH) for their photos so we were able to galavant all over the city. The reception at the Arbutus Club was beautiful with amazing decorations and the food… mmm, my mouth is watering still thinking about it.
