TINA + JEFF: Steveston Engagement Session / Vancouver Wedding Photographer

So the Vancouver weather has been very frustrating overall this spring … and apparently into this summer. We have been lucky with our weddings so far so I don’t want to jinx it. But engagement sessions haven’t all been so lucky. Some of them have been cancelled due to rain only to find sun and others cancelled due to complete washouts. Tina + Jeff suffered one such day but you know what… IT WAS WORTH IT for the day we got instead. Tina + Jeff wanted to do something a little different and find a field to run about it so we decided to head to Steveston and take advantage of the farmland that is out there. In the end we didn’t find a farm to play in but we found a gorgeous field none-the-less (we also found a lot of mosquitos too which I think Tina and I are STILL paying for :P). Tina and Jeff are adorable together and they work so well together. It’s easy to see how much they love each other and especially how much Jeff will do for Tina. I can’t wait for their wedding!

TANYA + RYAN: Yaletown Engagement Session / Vancouver Wedding Photographer

I honestly think the world of all my couples and feel like I constantly need to pinch myself because of how lucky I am. Every session is amazing and I always feel like I get to create new favourite images each time as every couple opens up with me. But this session… WOW!!! Scott and I left the session and all we could say was WOW!!! Tanya and Ryan are really really really sweet and extremely welcoming and easygoing people and we just felt so at home hanging around with them. They are madly in love and you can tell just by the way they look at each other and make each other laugh. Oh, and did I mention they were both GORGEOUS!!! Especially Tanya! Sigh, this girl could rock absolutely anything and looked like a magazine ad even when she wasn’t having her picture taken. These two definitely know how to work it… thus… WOW!!! We cannot wait for their September wedding. But in the meantime we did their engagement photos in their own neighborhood of Yaletown and of course had to stop at the Opus hotel where they had their first date. I hope you enjoy just a FEW favourite images. And for every single one of them all I can say is HOT HOT HOT stuff. ENJOY!!!

ELLEN + GERARD: English Bay Engagement / Vancouver Wedding Photographer

So, If I told you that on a good day Vancouver kind of reminded me of Hawaii would you believe me? No? Well check out some of these photos of the super cute Ellen + Gerard. Doesn’t it look like we were in Hawaii?! Man, I wish!!! Ellen and I definately bonded over our mutual love for Hawaii and our desire to live there. Sigh, maybe one day. Anyway, the whole session just had such a laid back summer feeling and I loved it. I could shot this type of session everyday. I think a lot of it has to do with these two though and how laid back they are and how in love they are. These two are just so sweet together and you can tell that Gerard would do anything for Ellen. This session was not only full of sunshine, palm trees and ice cream cones but lots of love and laughter. I can’t wait for their August wedding. Oh, and don’t you just looooooooooooove Ellen’s Dress - it has pockets and I want one :) Enjoy a few faves!

ROBYN + JUSTIN: Cecile Green House / Vancouver Wedding Photographer

I feel very very luck to have been a part of Robyn and Justin’s wedding. From the moment I met them at their consultation and we swapped Okanagan wine tasting stories I knew we would have a good time together. Robyn and Justin… so many amazing things to say about this couple. They are soooooooooooo in love and bring amazing amounts of joy and fun to each others lives and all those that they know. I was constantly laughing and giggling while watching this couple and of course while listening to all the stories their family had to share. Their day at Cecile Green was full of celebration, love, joy, laughter and more and more love and respect. Thank you Robyn and Justin for including us in your day. Enjoy a “few” of my fav’s from your day.

AUBREY + EDWARD - Steveston Engagement Session

So the Vancouver weather lately has been driving me a bit crazy - it doesn’t seem to grasp that it’s summer and it’s supposed to be nice out ALL THE TIME. Luckily, when it came to shooting Aubrey + Edwards session in Steveston Last week we got lucky with some beautiful and somewhat unique weather. One of those nights where it can’t quite decide if it want’s to be sunny or cloudy but is peaceful, tranquil and warm nonetheless. And I think it was perfect weather for this couple. These two are no doubt full of laughs and are super goofy and fun and definitely know how to poke fun at each other, but they are also so soulful and peaceful. It was a pleasure being able to document their love and lives in the town where they live. Thanks guys for having us along and sharing who you are with us. Here are just a few fav shots, especially of Aubrey’s bling - love the ring on the straw - that’s how Edward proposed; and the shot in the ‘chicks’n'hens is one of my fav ring shots ever :) Oh, and isn’t Aubrey just stunningly beautiful. The last two shots made me feel like I was shooting for an Anthropologie catalogue - LOVED IT. Enjoy!

DEVI + VIJAY: Vedic Cultural Centre + Brock House Wedding

OW!!! What a start to our wedding season! Last Friday Scott and I shot Devi + Vijay’s wedding and it truly truly was an AMAZING day. We feel soooooo honoured to have been there and to document not only the moments but all the love that emanated throughout theday. The festivities started at the Vedic Cultural Centre on the pathway to Heaven in Richmond. It was a jam packed ceremony where Devi got to wear 2 beautiful Sari’s. Then later in the afternoon the festivities moved on to the always beautiful Brock House in Vancouver. The decorations were stunning - I just loved all the bright colours thanks to Denise at Halfyard Designs and Thea at Sweet Thea who made the adorable cupcakes. During the speeches one of Devi’s friends said “when Devi and Vijay are together, it’s like the whole rest of the world fades away.” And that is EXACTLY what these two are like together. Their love for each other is effortless and beautiful. Their reception was so enjoyable with everyone genuinely their to celebrate this marriage. Complete with a musically talented family and a happy crowd of guests. When we left the guests were partying into the night. Also a big big big shout out to Alicia at Dreamgroup who once again ensured that her amazing bride + groom had a perfect day.

Thank you Devi + Vijay for allowing us to share in this day with you. Enjoy the honeymoon!
