Scott and I are really looking forward to Kate and Jason’s wedding on Saltspring island this summer. We both love the gulf islands so much and got even more excited when Kate + Jason told us about their cabin on Mayne Island that they go to almost every weekend. Since it was such an important place to them and a place we’ve always wanted to go we made sure to do their engagement session there.
Kate and Jason are such a wonderful couple. I know I’ve been saying that about all my couples but I really mean it for all of them and these two were no exception. They are super laid back, very comfortable together and full of love, joy and laughter. Not only are they smarty smarty and have good style and taste but they also love good food and wine and are quite the foodies. Kate herself is an amazing cook and even has her own blog - be sure it to check it out *warning though, maybe don’t look at it if you’re really hungry. Her recipes are all so good and the pictures will just make you even hungrier
We started their session at their cabin and I just loved it. Not to mention that the light all morning made shooting an absolute dream.
We then headed to Oyster Bay where Kate + Jason like to hang out. There’s also a whole bunch of sea lions that like to hang out there too. We also had bald eagles and turkey vultures to entertain us.
When Scott and I get to shoot together we have a lot of fun and I feel so relaxed having him with me. Also it’s fun to see the different (or sometimes similar) ways we see things. The image on the left is my image and the one on the right is Scott’s. Love it!
*sigh* love this shot too! This one is mine and the vertical shot after is how Scott saw them.
Again, this one is mine and the second one is Scott’s shot. We were both pretty excited! Kate and Jason are so fun and so in love.
And last but not least. This is Kate’s gorgeous ring which is actually Jason’s grandmothers ring.
Thanks sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much Kate and Jason for such a great session. We had so much fun with you guys and want thank you for introducing us to the island. And also for your patience with our bad navigating - usually we’re much better :) ENJOY!!!
