I honestly don’t know where to start off with this amazing couple… I had been looking forward to their session since we booked in January where Vivian and I were tossing engagement session ideas around from the start. She told me all about her amazing fiance (who I knew was an amazing catch from his emails - the way he wrote about Vivian made my heart melt) and so I was eager to finally be able to meet Samson. Viv and Samson met while in University at SFU but have been doing the long distance relationship for the last few years as Samson is now living in Calgary. They were so excited to have a weekend together and I was more than happy to be able to hang out with them. The way these two talk about each other, look at each other and just plain are together is just so sweet and fun and uber amazing. We lucked out with the weather as I swear this is the only blue sky I saw on Friday and have seen since. Here are just a few fave shots from our time together at SFU and Barnett Marine Park. ENJOY!!!
So one of the things Vivian told me about when we first met were the surprise t-shirts Samson made her. I LOVE THEM!!! Samson says he’s not the creative one but I think these are pretty creative and majorly CUTE!!!
And as an aside, when clients ask me what they should wear I always tell them to wear what they love and what they feel good in and that in no way do they have to “match.” Wardrobe changes are also common and if you’re up to it, feel free to bring some props. Well, I already knew about the amazing t-shirts Samson made and Vivian’s BEAUTIFUL scarf but no one told me about his cool accessory. I was holding on to their bag of goodies when I looked inside and screamed “NO WAY!” Samson had this awesome hat in the bag! He wasn’t sure if he should have brought it and it was a sort of last minute decision and my goodness - I WAS SO EXCITED! I made him wear it and work it out! I love these shots and just want to encourage my clients to try and think of the things they love to wear and definately bring them along to your sessions. Thanks for being so cool Samson!
