NAZANIN & MOE ARE GETTING MARRIED!!!

On Saturday Evening I had the pleasure of meeting Nazanin and Moe for the first time. Nazanin called me a few weeks ago to schedule an engagement session and I could tell right away that her and Moe were super sweet - and I was right. As soon as I met them I could feel their warmth and love, they are just genuinely friendly and relaxed people. We didn’t quite get the sunshine we were hoping for at this session but the amazing dress that Nazanin wore made up for it - LOVE IT!!! We started in Coal Harbour and then made our way through Stanely Park and ended up at Third Beach. The beach was super fun and I really had a good time running around in the sand. Thanks you guys for a great session and it was so wonderful to meet you. Good luck with the planning for next year and Enjoy your photos.

HOLLY & DANIEL ARE MARRIED!!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO HOLLY & DANIEL!!! Yesterday was such a fabulous day and once again I feel like I have the best job in the whole world. I really do have amazing clients and feel a special attachment to each of them but Holly and Daniel really do melt my heart, especially Holly. I have never seen a more excited bride and a more calm bride all at the same time. Holly just couldn’t wait to get to the church and see her man and GET MARRIED! The details of this entire wedding were so beautiful and it all started with the dress - lovingly and beautifully made by Holly’s mother. The best line of the day was when Holly said she felt “like she was wrapped up in love” wearing that dress. There are so many things I want to say about these two and their day, and there are sooooo many images that I love from this wedding. I’m pretty sure that I could do a whole post of just Holly herself. But, I’ve picked some of my favourites to share and you really do have to watch the slideshow to see their fabulous day. But before that, I just want to say that the way these two are together is just perfect and Daniel treats Holly like Gold and then she treats him like Gold right back. I could go on and on but instead, I’ll let you look at the photos. The ceremony was held at the North Shore Alliance Church in North Van then it was off for a few quick stops at Barnett Marine Park and SFU where the reception was at the Diamond Alumni Club.

Holly and Daniel - ALL MY BEST TO YOU BOTH AND HAVE FUN IN MAUI!!! ENJOY!!!

Aarti & Vikas - Sneak Peek Part 4

Okay, sooo… Aarti and Vikas had an amazing ceremony and unfortunately I wasn’t able to be there but I was able to make it to their reception on July 13th which was another beautiful event. I really cannot say enough about Aarti and Vikas - they truly are two of the best people I have ever met and being a part of their day was so special to me. The way these two are together is sooooo sweet and watching them as man and wife as they prepared for their reception was so beautful. I feel truly grateful to have been a part of it and THANK YOU both for including me. Also, thank you to both your families, everyone is so warm, sincere and welcoming and the love that is shown is easily felt. All the details of this day were also, AMAZING and Oh, and I CANNOT tell you how EXCITED I was to see Aarti’s shoes - I think I squealed out loud when I opened the box. Again, here is just another sneak peek at their perfect day… Enjoy! Be sure to stay tuned for the slideshows to come.

Aarti & Vikas - Sneak Peek Part 2

Thursday the 10th brought another full day of ceremonies including Aarti getting all of her henna done and both henna parties for each sets of families. I was able to capture some of the process of Aarti’s henna and then later that day saw what happened to Vikas… Take a peek…

Aarti & Vikas - Sneak Peek Part 1

Aarti and Vikas were married the week of July 7 through 13 as they had many amazing traditional ceremonies and events as well as the official ceremony on July 11th. I was lucky enough to be able to photograph a few of them and am STILL going through A LOT of images. I know there are many who are anxious to see so until I get through them all and get the slideshows completed I thought I’d post a few teaser images from each event.

This first event was on Wednesday July the 9th and was the Shagun Geet Sangeet Ceremony. This was so much fun with all the colours, gifts and amazing dancing. Oh, and the food was SOOO GOOD too. Enjoy a few…

REZVANA & JP ARE MARRIED!!!

Rezvana & JP were married this past Friday at the Capilano Golf & Country Club under the gorgeous summer sun and amazing blue skies. I’m lucky enough to know these two as friends and it was so special to be able to be apart of their day and to have their trust in capturing their amazing wedding. Rezvana was absolutely stunning and really knows how to work the camera. These two had a beautiful first look and then we headed down to the seawall for some photos of the two of them before heading back up to the club for their ceremony, more photos and one rockin’ party. These two love each other with such unshakable and unconditional love and their day was a true celebration with family and friends. There are sooooo many people who truly truly love and respect them and to watch everyone around them felt like such a blessing and even brought tears to my eyes. Again, THANK YOU Rez and JP for having me there and I wish you all my best - ENJOY YOUR SNEAK PEEK!!!

LAURA & SHELDON ARE MARRIED!!!

Well, first off… things have been more than nutso nuts lately and I have to apologize for being late with blogging - thank you Laura & Sheldon for your patience. Laura and Sheldon were married on July 5, 2008 and was it one memorable day. These two are beyond amazing and handled lots of craziness with effortless ease - including, me falling flat out on my face, bruising every limb, scraping my elbow and watching my camera fall to the ground - CRAZY!!! A big thanks to L&S and their amazing wedding party who ensured emergency kits, band aids and icepacks were on hand [note to self - bring first aid kit along on weddings] :) But, back to these two… Laura looked absolutely stunning as I knew she would and the two of them together were so cute. Despite the grey and drizzly skies we had an amazing time taking pictures. The ceremony was at the Beautiful St. Helen’s Parish in Burnaby then it was out the cover of Port Moody’s City Hall before heading to Old Orchard Park for the Reception that was FULL of laughter and joy, and some of the best food we’ve ever had at a wedding (vendor details to come). Laura and Sheldon were surrounded by amazing family who oozed love on them and it was such a beautiful thing to watch - they are amazing people of love. Enjoy your sneak peek guys and hope the Caribbean is treating you well.

Aarti & Vikas are Getting Married

Last night was an absolute blast - I had the pleasure of hanging out with Aarti and Vikas who are getting married next week, the 11th of July amongst a week full of amazing wedding events. We scheduled a last minute session and I really wanted these two to enjoy their time together and focus on each other, time to forget the stress of all the wedding planning - and I think they did just that. Aarti and Vikas are absolutely amazing and totally in love and I could NOT have asked for a better session. We headed down to Dundarave in West Van and just as I hoped for, the sun made its way out and provided amazing light that just wrapped around these two. Thank you so much for such a great time. Here is a longer post than normal of some of my favourite images. Unfortunately, the slideshow is on hold due to technical difficulites but I will post it as soon as I can get that all fixed. ENJOY!!!
